Okay, so I finally took the leap and purchased my first Mac, an iMac. I see this as an outstanding opportunity to begin adding more interactivity to the site, including more video updates and brief subject discussions via video.

I've also reviewed the new site in Safari and it looks great, so that made me pretty happy, as well.

Writing continues with the first chapter rewritten in third person and the next one moving along nicely. In all honesty, I hope to complete about 2-3 chapters a month beginning in April. But, we are planning on moving that month, so it might be a little less to begin with. The goal is to finish the novel completely by year's end, with proofing and editing to follow.

Art
I’ve just received a new site illustration from a local artist, Christy Vilmont, and will be posting it here, this week. I really like how she captured the simple vision I had of an Arizona desert at night. perhaps There will be other illustrations from her with regard to the novel or just the site.

I've also been in contact with an artist in England who does absolutely amazing portraiture and we will see whether she may be interested in what I have in mind. smile

Regardless, I am in the middle of plot work and haven’t written as much prose as I would have liked. however, the plot work is the grounds for the prose, so everything in its time, I suppose.

This new site will be what I focus on for the rest of the year. I promise, no more site changes. Seriously. After this, I really won't have any more time for the site stuff other than just posting updates. All of my efforts will be on the writing of the story from start to finish. My initial goal is to finish that. I will worry about the editing and such after the story has been completed.

Later.
